ANTI-TERMITE TREATMENT

If you are planning to build a house or develop your property for building your office, termite control is the first thing you should think of. We use highly professional and advanced techniques for treating the termite infestation problem. Direct liquid treatments are applied to the outside, inside and also in the foundation to eliminate the termites completely. Direct injection of liquid pesticide in areas like the foundation, within the foundation walls and also areas under the concrete slabs is part of our specialized termite control treatment plan

Pre Construction Anti Termite Treatment

Most effective steps against termite attack to a building can be taken at the time of its construction by treading the soil with insecticide. Such measures are specially desirable when a building is constructed in an area badly infested with termite. Pre-construction treatment of soil consist in applying an insecticidal barrier around the foundation walls. Under floors, and at all points that are vulnerable to termite entry.

As per Bureau of Indian Standard Institude(ISI) the services is carried out under four stage are as follows.

  1. Treatment to the bottom of trenches an up to 30 cms height.
  2. Treatment to the sides of foundation trenches after the back filling is done.
  3. Treatment to the wall and fioor joints and under the floors after backfilling is completed.
  4. Treatment to the external perimeter of the building up to a depth of 30 cms.

Post Construction Anti Termite Treatment

Termites popularly known as White-Ants are tough, determined, highly efficient and the most destructive pest. They are voracious eaters, their food being of cellulosic materials such as wood. They also damage materials of organic origin which, have a cellulosic base. This includes household articles like furniture, furnishing, clothing, stationery, etc. Termites are also known to damage non-cellulosic substances such as rubber, leather, plastic, neoprene, as well as lead coating used for covering of underground cables. Subterranean termites are the most common kind. They live in colonies just below the soil surfaces from where the workers travel upwards into the building through the voids, cracks and mud tubes in search of food.

The principle of termite control is based on the fact that the 'Workers' commute between the colony and the source of food. Our treatment which is based on IS: 6313 (Part III) - 1981 specification which essentially consists of creating an uninterrupted chemical barrier all around the building. The chemical used is Imidaclorodid 30.5% SC manufactured by Bayer Cropscience Ltd. under the brand name Premise, 0.075% a. i. concentration is used for making formulated solution for creating a chemical barrier as under

PREVENTIVE MEASURES :-

  1. Soil poison treatment to the external perimeter of the building: in this treatment we would drill holes of 12mm as close as possible to the plinth wall at an interval of 12 inches enough to reach the soil below (6 - 8 inches deep). Then chemical emulsion will be pumped into these holes, which are subsequently sealed using white cement.
  2. Soil treatment to all the floor/walls and columns inside the building so as to create a chemical barrier into the masonry to cut off the passage of termite entry. in this treatment we would drill holes of 12mm diameter throughout the junction of the walls with floor 20 inches apart and 3-4 inches deep. Chemical emulsion will be injected into these holes thrice at an interval or until refusal, These holes will then be sealed with white cement.

CURATIVE MEASURES :-

  1. All existing wood - work in the building which is in contact with the floor or the walls shall be treated by injecting chemical emulsion at the points of contacts with adjoining masonry. This comprehensive anti-termite treatment will be supplemented by check-up visits after four months and eight months from the date of major treatment.
  2. Kindly note that all furniture need to be shifted to leave at least 2 ft clear space from the walls so as to facilitate treatment along the junction of the walls and floor. It is a well established fact that humidity and moisture attract Termites/ White Ants. All leakages/seepages in the building should be stopped immediately to ensure the success of our termite treatment.
